About Us
Vision
FRE inspires people to believe in their learning potential and employability through innovative, real work experiences delivered by industry professionals, facilitating the development of confidence and transferable skills.

Participants in FRE's programmes have a lot to say about the world around them, and we aim to provide opportunities for those voices to be heard through creative arts and media projects.

The FRE Mission
FRE is a not-for-profit organisation that develops and delivers creative courses that encourage personal and skills development for young and disadvantaged people who face disengagement or marginalisation due to lack of training, or social or economic deprivation.

FRE works with young people from all walks of life, including young offenders, refugees, young carers and those with learning difficulties. FRE particularly aims to work with young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) or those at risk of becoming NEET.

We encourage participants in our programmes to stay in school or move into further education, training or work by increasing their awareness of career and life opportunities and faciliating the development of creative, technical and soft skills and confidence.
History
FRE was founded in 2003 by James Plummer, Managing Director of Prospect. After several years of development, training delivery and mentoring to young people and adults, FRE was registered as a not-for-profit organisation in February 2005 to provide achievement-based projects that could motivate and instil self-confidence in programme participants. We are heartened not only by the progress we have made but by the benefits that our participants have gained through our courses.

With offices based in central London, FRE has a small but highly effective staff dedicated to building programmes that empower young people to reach their full potential in our increasingly competitive society.
